Another day of working feverishly to get some great projects completed soon. Business for Richie Resource Group (my main income) has become very busy and I just love it! Sure hope it keeps up for awhile!
Haven't had much of a chance to do art, but my most recent projects are a necklace I made with beads and metal (for me, finally) and two books for a client. She did the covers and I assembled the books, did the rug latch hooking, etc. They are so great!
My lovely Cocker Spaniel, Max, died in January. I wasn't going to get another dog, but since I live alone, I was so l-o-n-e-l-y. Working at home and living alone can get a little overwhelming. So, I found two gorgeous Havanese dogs. The breed is the National Dog of Cuba and since they were both girls, I named them Lucy and Ethel!! They will get to be about 10 pounds and I think they are there already. They will be six months old in a few days and it's time for them to get spayed. The breed dates back to 1 A.D. and there's even a portrait of King Henry VIII's wife Ann Boelyn with one. The Spanish brought them to Cuba and about 11 were taken to the United States. They're still fairly unknown and a little tough to find, but they're getting more popular. They live to be 15 - 18 years old, and minimal health problems. I will be doing updates on Lucy and Ethel regularly. My little girls -- everyone calls them "the girls".
It's a beautiful day in Minnesota and will reach about 75 degrees. This is my first attempt at a blog, so I have a lot to learn!
